Umrah Group Trips
Over the years, Dome Tours have developed Umrah group trips to allow pilgrims the benefit of group travel with Dome Tours personnel and scholars to provide guidance and support at each stage. The group trip includes a guided tour of authentic historical sites connected with early Muslim history around Makkah and Madinah. The commentary helps vividly recreate numerous scenes from the Prophet’s (PBUH) life and Muslim history in general.
Dome Tours have identified two key times in the year most suitable for performing Umrah, however we can also create a tailor made package to satisfy all your needs.
Mid Spring-time (Easter break)
After the fervour of Hajj, the Saudi Embassy begins re-issuing Umrah visas after a 2 month break. Dome Tours have selected this early period in the year as an ideal time to perform your Umrah; the climate in Makkah and Madinah during spring is mild which allows for a cooler and more comfortable experience. This period is also regarded as off-peak with fewer pilgrims visiting the Holy sites allowing for a tranquil and an increased spiritual connection with the sacred places.
Last 10 days of Ramadhan
According to narrations of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) the most blessed time to perform Umrah is during the last 10 days of Ramadhan. This group package also allows pilgrims to experience Eid in Makkah and returns five days after Ramadhan.
The Prophet (pbuh) has said that performing Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan is most commendable and equal to Hajj in merit and excellence. The meaning is that Umrah in Ramadan is equal to Hajj in terms of rewards; it does not substitute the performance of Hajj which is obligatory for those able to perform it.
Ibn Abbas has said he heard the Prophet (S) say ‘Umrah performed in the month of Ramadan will equal (in rewards) to that of Hajj or Hajj performed with me (SAW).’ (Bukhari, Muslim)
